Crafting

Crafting is going to be the backbone of what keeps your characters alive, outside of food and water that is. Of course not all characters will arrive with the skills needed to do these things.

Inside the backpack that they find upon waking, though, there will be a "Guide to Survival" book that will include the needed information regarding crafting. Regardless of what language your character normally speaks, they will be able to understand it. It will take time to learn everything or make the craft-able items without fail, though that will largely depend on your character's intelligence.

Items

Items are scattered all over the area, hidden away in lockers, trunks, simply laying on the ground and all sorts of places. Certain things, including ammunition, can be crafted with the right materials and tools. These will be useful to surviving.
