Abaddonia Network: Updated

Thanks to Emet-Selch ([personal profile] the3rdseat) there have been a great deal of improvements to the settlement, including the way people can communicate within and without.

Read on for further information.

Radios/Walkie Talkies: At least twelve two-way walkie talkies are scattered around the settlement. They are used for audio only communication, though the Radio Tower can also connect to them for one way messages, usually as a warning or request for help. Regular antenna radios are also around for receiving messages or playing music. Walkie Talkies cannot be used with other forms of communication, but the Radio Tower can connect with other devices for one way messages.

Linkpearls: The main form of audio communication from the world of Etheirys, are little ear buds that allow for communication across different channels. They were inactive for a time but have since been reinstated with the added benefit of being able to receive radio tower communications, as well as connect to other mobile devices.

Cellular phones and other mobile network devices: Cell phones and the like have also been upgraded to be able to be on a faux 'network' of sorts. There's no internet or similar functionality but text, audio and video are able to be used should the device already come with those functions. They can connect to Linkpearls and other similar devices.

Misc: Things like the Purah Pad from Tears of the Kingdom, Focus from Horizon and other such devices can be adjusted to also connect to this faux network, however they will not be able to use a lot of their more specified functionality in tandem with it. They'll have the same limitations as cell phones.

Community Board: The community board is still up and usable. It's less reliable because not everyone looks at it in their day to day, but it's there for notices that are less important and don't need immediate attention. There's also now a permanent notice on the board:
If you have just arrived and are not in need of medical assistance, please go to the Tavern. If you are in need of medical assistance please go to the clinic first., including symbols denoting each mentioned location.

And as always, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Rin!
